Commuting can become a bit of a pain when all you can do is rely on buses. Imagine feeling the breeze whilst having amazing views of the harbour.
It looks as if Manly was really far away from the city but it really isn’t. If you’re taking the ferry there you have different options but the only way to get the best 360 views of The Opera House, the Harbour Bridge and Circular Quay at night, day or during the sunset is by Ferry.
There’s two options but it depends entirely up to you and on what type of ride you’re looking for.
The slow coffee drinker & snack ride is by taking the “slow” ferry. If you have an Opal card then you can use it here. It takes up to 35 minutes to get to the Harbour and costs $8 per person one way but on Sundays all public transport is only $2.50 so go for it!
If you want to get there faster and have the option to drink a beer or a glass of wine on the way to Manly then the best option is the Manly Fast Ferry which is $7 per person one way.
